Ambrose Construct Group is a leading national insurance building specialist, delivering residential repair solutions across Australia.

We’re looking for a motivated Trainee Construction Manager to join our NSW team. Working alongside the NSW State Construction Manager, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience supporting residential repair projects while developing the technical, operational and leadership skills needed for a successful management career.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in the construction industry. You’ll support day-to-day construction operations, assist Building Supervisors, contribute to client outcomes and help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of residential repair projects across NSW
  • Assist in monitoring construction performance and achieving client KPIs
  • Provide support with scheduling, audits, risk management and project escalations
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, Australian Standards and WHS requirements
  • Interpret plans, engineering drawings and technical reports
  • Build positive relationships with clients, trades and internal stakeholders
  • Assist with reporting, performance analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to training, mentoring and customer service outcomes

About You

You’ll be eager to learn, enjoy working collaboratively and be passionate about building a long-term career in construction leadership.

You’ll ideally have:

  • A degree in Construction Management (completed or currently studying), or equivalent industry experience (desirable)
  • Experience within residential construction or building supervision (essential)
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and willingness to expand your technical knowledge
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to develop your leadership capabilities
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety
