We’re looking for a motivated Trainee Construction Manager to join our NSW team. Working alongside the NSW State Construction Manager, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience supporting residential repair projects while developing the technical, operational and leadership skills needed for a successful management career.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in the construction industry. You’ll support day-to-day construction operations, assist Building Supervisors, contribute to client outcomes and help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of residential repair projects across NSW
- Assist in monitoring construction performance and achieving client KPIs
- Provide support with scheduling, audits, risk management and project escalations
- Ensure compliance with building codes, Australian Standards and WHS requirements
- Interpret plans, engineering drawings and technical reports
- Build positive relationships with clients, trades and internal stakeholders
- Assist with reporting, performance analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to training, mentoring and customer service outcomes
About You
You’ll be eager to learn, enjoy working collaboratively and be passionate about building a long-term career in construction leadership.
You’ll ideally have:
- A degree in Construction Management (completed or currently studying), or equivalent industry experience (desirable)
- Experience within residential construction or building supervision (essential)
- Strong understanding of construction processes and willingness to expand your technical knowledge
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
- A proactive attitude and willingness to develop your leadership capabilities
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
