Ambrose Construct Group is seeking an organised and customer-focused Afterhours Make Safe Coordinator to join our Sunshine Coast team.
This role is critical to supporting emergency insurance make-safe works outside of standard business hours. You will coordinate trades, liaise with clients and customers, review reports, and provide administrative support to our Make Safe Supervisors to ensure urgent jobs are managed efficiently and professionally.
This is a full-time permanent position based on the Sunshine Coast, with a hybrid work arrangement. Following your initial onboarding and training, you’ll have the flexibility to work from home on selected days, while maintaining regular collaboration with the team in the office.
Important
This is not a standard 9–5 administration role.
The successful candidate will participate in an after-hours roster and be available to manage phone calls and urgent coordination tasks when required. A suitable home office setup and reliable internet connection are essential to support after-hours and remote work.
What you’ll be doing
- Participating in the Make Safe after-hours roster
- Scheduling and maintaining make-safe trade appointments
- Reviewing and following up reports submitted by trades
- Liaising with contractors to ensure reports are accurate and submitted to clients
- Providing administrative support to the Make Safe team, clients, and customers
- Monitoring internal reporting to ensure KPIs are achieved
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, customers, and contractors
- Answering incoming calls and directing matters to the appropriate Supervisor where required
- Contributing to a safe workplace and complying with all relevant health and safety policies
What we’re looking for
Essential
- Previous administration experience
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, team-oriented approach
- Professional customer service skills
- Ability to work outside normal business hours when required
Highly regarded
- Experience in the construction or insurance repair industry
- Trade qualifications or equivalent industry knowledge
- Experience coordinating field-based teams or contractors
