<p><strong>Amber

Community is seeking a well-connected Regional Coordinator across the Grampians

Region. </strong></p><p><strong>Developing

relationships, networking with stakeholders, and supporting staff &amp; lived

experience speakers across the Grampians will be paramount in successfully

coordinating regional activities. </strong></p><p><strong>This

role will also include facilitating diverse groups within a restorative and

narrative framework, and a strong experience working within therapeutic or

psycho/educational programs is required. </strong></p><p><strong>Our

programs work with people at risk of or have traffic-related offences, as well

as those that are proactive/preventative, addressing road safety and the

prevention of harm on our roads.</strong></p><p>Work is on

a casual/flexible arrangement, and you become a part of a team with six other

fabulous Regional Coordinators/Group facilitators that work well together and

bring diverse backgrounds to the discussions at our monthly meetings.</p><p>No matter

what we do, it’s all about having conversations about the issues and solutions

to creating a change for safer roads. Whether with community leaders, referrers

to our programs, or the participant/community member individually. It’s about

being real and having people feel heard and for a shared understanding of how

we can influence what is happening on our roads and reduce the impacts and

incidents across our communities after road trauma.</p><p>Please

ORGANISATIONAL ENVIRONMENT Amber Community (formally Road Trauma Support Services Victoria) is a not-for-profit organisation contributing to the safety and wellbeing of road and transportation users. We provide counselling and support to people affected by transport trauma and address the attitudes and behaviours of road users through education programs. In working to deliver our mission, we provide free, professional face-to-face, telephone and online counselling services across Victoria to people who have been affected directly or indirectly by a transport incident, including but not limited to; bereaved family members, witnesses, drivers, first-on-scene, emergency service personnel, families and friends. Through active engagement with people who have personal experience of a transport incident and the effects this has on theirs and others’ lives, we also offer other support options, including peer support activity groups. In addition to counselling and support, Amber Community delivers a range of education programs addressing the behaviours and attitudes of drivers to reduce the incidence of crashes, injuries and fatalities and the associated trauma and grief. We are the only service of our kind in Victoria. Amber Community is an incorporated, non-profit organisation.
