About Alliance SI

For more than 45 years, Alliance SI has delivered Australia’s critical telecommunications and electrical infrastructure. From data centres and communications networks to complex electrical projects, we help connect and power the infrastructure Australians rely on every day.

As we continue expanding our ACT operations, we’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead project delivery, strengthen client relationships and play a key role in growing our Canberra presence.

This is an opportunity to join an established national business while enjoying the autonomy and influence typically found in a smaller organisation. You’ll have direct access to senior leadership, genuine ownership of your portfolio and the opportunity to shape the future of Alliance SI in the ACT.

Why join Alliance SI?

This isn’t just another project management role. You’ll lead high-value electrical and telecommunications infrastructure projects, build long-term client partnerships, mentor developing teams and influence how we continue to grow in one of Australia’s most active infrastructure markets.

If you’re commercially minded, thrive on accountability and enjoy building lasting relationships, we’d like to hear from you.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Program Manager, you’ll take ownership of the successful delivery of electrical and telecommunications infrastructure projects across the ACT, ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably and to the highest standard.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading end-to-end delivery of electrical and telecommunications infrastructure projects, including data centres, essential facilities and communications networks.
  • Managing project commercial performance, including budgets, forecasting, procurement, cost control and invoicing.
  • Building trusted relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders to support long-term business growth.
  • Working with our multidisciplinary teams to prepare estimates, quotations and tender submissions
  • Leading, mentoring and developing Technicians, Apprentices and site teams to achieve strong project outcomes.
  • Driving a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with WHS requirements across your portfolio.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve project delivery, profitability and client satisfaction.

About you

You’ll be an experienced Project Manager with strong commercial acumen and experience successfully delivering infrastructure projects from award through to completion.

You’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering electrical, telecommunications or infrastructure projects end-to-end.
  • Strong financial and commercial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships in a competitive market.
  • Proven leadership experience developing and supporting high-performing site-based teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Australian Citizenship.

Desirable

  • Qualification in Electrical and/or Telecommunications.
  • Experience using SimPRO, SharePoint, Bluebeam and/or Groundplan.
  • Experience working on critical infrastructure, utilities or data centre projects.

What we offer

At Alliance SI, we invest in our people because we know they’re the key to our success.

You’ll enjoy:

  • Competitive remuneration with incentive program eligibility.
  • The opportunity to shape and grow our ACT business.
  • A strong pipeline of projects in a high-growth industry.
  • Ongoing learning and career development through our Learn, Empower & Grow (LEG) program.
  • Salary packaging and novated leasing options.
  • Access to discounted health and wellbeing benefits, including gyms, insurance and more.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and a genuinely supportive, people-first culture.
