Summary:

All Industries Group is seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to support our continued growth across Queensland’s mining, resources, and heavy industry sectors.

This is not a passive account management role. We are looking for a true hunter and relationship builder. Someone who understands the mining and heavy industrial environment, can identify opportunities, build long-term client relationships, and convert those opportunities into ongoing work.

If you have experience in mining services, fabrication, mechanical maintenance, shutdowns, component rebuilds, or heavy engineering and thrive on getting in front of customers and creating opportunities. We want to hear from you!

About the Role

As our Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding AIG’s presence throughout the mining and industrial sectors.

You’ll work closely with operational leaders, estimators, and project teams to deliver tailored solutions across:

  • Heavy fabrication
  • Mechanical repairs and rebuilds
  • Site labour and field services
  • Shutdown support
  • Machining and engineering solutions
  • Mining equipment repairs and maintenance

This is a hands-on role requiring regular client interaction, site visits, networking, quoting, and strategic relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow relationships with mining, industrial, and heavy industry clients
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across fabrication, machining, mechanical, and field service divisions
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and actively drive conversion
  • Conduct regular client visits, networking, and on-site engagement
  • Prepare quotations, tenders, capability presentations, and bid submissions
  • Work collaboratively with internal operational teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline forecasting through HubSpot
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming project opportunities
  • Support strategic growth initiatives and long-term business planning

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years’ experience in business development or sales (mining or mechanical industries preferred)
  • Sound understanding of manufacturing, component rebuilds, underground mining equipment and field services
  • Experience with estimating, tenders and quoting (essential)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively manage your own client portfolio
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence
