We are seeking an experienced and driven Key Account Manager to join our team and take ownership of developing key customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and driving profitable sales outcomes.

About the Role

As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of key customers while actively identifying new business opportunities. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to understand requirements, provide solutions, and ensure an outstanding customer experience from enquiry through to delivery.

You will play a key role in achieving sales growth by managing opportunities, maintaining a strong sales pipeline, and delivering profitable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, research, and proactive customer engagement.
  • Understand customer needs, challenges, and opportunities to provide tailored solutions.
  • Develop strong product knowledge to effectively communicate product features, benefits, and value.
  • Conduct customer meetings, sales presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and commercial solutions.
  • Negotiate with customers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Maintain regular customer communication to build trust, loyalty, and repeat business.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities and follow-ups are accurately recorded and progressed.
  • Track sales activity, customer engagement, and pipeline performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including operations, customer service, and technical teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Identify market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to support business growth.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and in line with Aline’s values.
  • Contribute to sales meetings, strategy discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You are a proactive and results-driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships and achieving measurable outcomes. You are confident engaging with customers, identifying opportunities, and converting relationships into long-term partnerships.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • A customer-focused approach with the ability to understand and solve customer challenges.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and working towards sales targets.
  • Excellent organisation, time management, and follow-up skills.
  • Confidence using CRM systems such as Netsuite and sales reporting tools.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience within the pumps, water, plumbing, construction, industrial, or technical product industries will be highly regarded.
