Barista

Join the team at Alfresco Emporium as we launch our brand-new coffee cart at our Glenhaven store.

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Barista to create exceptional coffee and a warm, welcoming experience for our customers. Set within our premium lifestyle and homewares environment, this role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and takes pride in delivering high standards of service.

This is a permanent position working Tuesday to Saturday, 7:00am – 3:00pm.

About the Role

This position combines café operations with broader retail support duties including opening and closing procedures, customer engagement, merchandising support, and maintaining operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality coffee and beverages with consistency and care
• Deliver exceptional customer service in a premium retail environment
• Open and close the coffee cart independently
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and presentation standards
• Support stock control, ordering, and replenishment
• Assist with merchandising and presentation of surrounding retail areas
• Build genuine relationships with customers and create a welcoming atmosphere
• Work collaboratively with the wider Glenhaven store team

About You

• Previous barista experience in a busy café or hospitality environment
• Confident working independently and managing workflow priorities
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Professional presentation and positive attitude
• Reliable, organised, and proactive
• Availability to work Tuesday to Saturday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
• Full Australian working rights
