Description

Al Zahra College is seeking an experienced, highly organised Risk and Compliance Manager to ensure Al Zahra College meets all legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements as an independent Islamic IB World School in NSW.

What you’ll need to succeed: 

– A detail-oriented professional with strong regulatory knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across our school community while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and integrity.

– At least 4 years of experience in the education or not-for-profit sectors with demonstrated expertise in managing compliance across multiple frameworks, including NESA registration and accreditation, IB authorisation and evaluation, child protection and safeguarding, work health and safety, privacy, anti-discrimination, employment law, and other regulatory requirements.

– A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in law, education, governance, risk and compliance, or a related discipline.

– Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret legislation, develop policies and procedures, and implement effective compliance frameworks.

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, policies, and submissions for senior leadership, auditors, regulators, and governing bodies.

– Must have valid rights to work in Australia.

– Must have a Working With Children Check.

This is a full-time, ongoing position reporting directly to the Headmaster with a dotted line to the Governing Council.
