Senior Designer

Description

AJC is looking for talented Senior Designer to join our team.

We’re looking for design-driven professionals to join our team. You’ll work closely with Project Leads; Studio Leads and fellow designers across all phases of the project lifecycle to deliver high-quality design solutions. You will have 4-6 years post qualification experience as an Architect after graduated master’s degree.

As our office in Sydney is growing and we have a pipeline of interesting projects, we are looking for Architect/ Designers with 3-5 years’ post qualification experience, to join our team.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4-6 years post qualification experience as an Architect after graduated master’s degree.
  • Professional qualification as an Architect or an equivalent overseas qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English – spoken and written.
  • Professional work experience using Revit
  • Proficiency with Rhino and Adobe Suite is required
  • Solid conceptual, design and graphic skills.
  • Experience with technical detailing, construction documentation & construction administration.
  • Ability to resolve technical and design challenges through innovative thinking.
  • Knowledge of products, materials, and construction methods.
  • Exposure to management and coordination of project stakeholders, local authorities and approving bodies, and sub-consultants.
  • Ability to develop design options in collaboration with the design team.
  • Ability to prepare, develop and edit drawings and models as they relate to the project.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • The ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and able to take initiative in response to direction from managers.
  • Great interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in residential and mixed-use projects is advantageous; however, adaptability across sectors is highly valued.
