About the role
We and are looking for an enthusiastic, early career sales professional to join us as an SMB Business Development Representative. This is an Adelaide or Sydney hybrid role, focused on building relationships with small to mid-sized businesses and converting interest into MetroMap subscriptions.
You’ll be supported with onboarding, coaching, and sales tools to help you succeed. If you enjoy talking to customers, hitting activity goals, and learning a consultative sales process, this is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation in B2B SaaS sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage SMB customers across industries such as engineering, property, surveying, and construction
- Build and manage a pipeline of SMB prospects through outbound activity, inbound leads and referrals
- Qualify customer needs through discovery calls and book/lead MetroMap demonstrations
- Progress opportunities through the sales process with timely follow up and strong sales hygiene
- Keep Salesforce CRM up to date with accurate notes, next steps and pipeline stage management
- Communicate MetroMap’s value in a clear, practical way (time savings, better decision-making, reduced site visits)
- Work closely with the SMB team and Customer Success to support smooth onboarding and retention
About you
You’re motivated, coachable, resilient and you enjoy working toward clear targets.
You’ll bring:
- Confidence communicating with customers over phone/video and email
- A willingness to learn (we’ll teach you the product and the sales process)
- Persistence and a positive attitude when faced with objections or “no’s”
- Good organisation and follow through (you do what you say you’ll do)
- Comfort using systems/tools (CRM experience is great, but not essential
Nice to have (not required):
- Any experience in sales, customer service, retail/hospitality, or inbound/outbound calling
- Interest in property, construction, engineering or technology
