The Gig:
At Ace Sydney, as the Event Sales Manager, you will be the driving force behind sourcing, developing, and overseeing the seamless execution of events and meetings across our hotel. By cultivating strong client relationships, you can ensure we remain their first choice for future events through timely follow-ups, expert negotiation, and tailored proposals that continually elevate the client experience. While monitoring our sales performance and event outcomes, you can proactively identify new business opportunities and industry trends to drive the continued growth and reputation of the hotel. On the operational side, you will translate these concepts into reality by creating detailed event orders, attending weekly event order meetings, and collaborating closely with our culinary, reservations, AV, and event operations teams to guarantee flawless execution.
About you:
- At least three years of experience in an event sales role
- Passionate about creating memorable event experiences
- Superb time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing successful events
- Technologically savvy with Google Workspace and an expert in event management software
- Previously worked in 5 Star Hotels or a premium hospitality environment is highly desirable
