Maintenance Fitter – Afternoon Shift 

Help launch a brand-new manufacturing facility in Adelaide!

5B is expanding and opening a second manufacturing facility in Adelaide, creating exciting opportunities for skilled tradespeople to join our growing team.

We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter for a permanent afternoon shift role, working with innovative manufacturing technology while helping build the future of renewable energy.

This is a unique chance to help stand up a new production facility from the ground up while working with cutting-edge manufacturing technology.

The Role 

Based in Salisbury South, you will play a critical role in keeping our production lines running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance, ensuring our manufacturing operations continue delivering high-quality products safely and efficiently.

You’ll work closely with production and maintenance teams to keep equipment performing at its best while supporting the ramp-up of our new facility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose faults and repair production machinery
  • Replace and maintain mechanical components across production equipment
  • Complete preventative and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Work with the maintenance team to prioritise and schedule maintenance activities
  • Monitor production lines and identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records through the scheduling system
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to identify areas requiring attention

What You’ll Bring

  • Trade qualification as a Fitter, Fitter & Turner or Fitter/Machinist
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Highly Regarded
  • Forklift licence
  • Experience in rollforming or manufacturing environments
  • Scissor or boom lift licence
