Workshop Controller – Clintons Toyota

Clintons Toyota is seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Controller to join our team at Gregory Hills. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key leadership role in one of Sydney’s most respected dealerships, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within our busy workshop.

About the Role

As a Workshop Controller, you will oversee the efficient flow of repair orders through the workshop, ensuring that work is completed to the highest standard, on time, and with customer satisfaction front of mind. You will act as the vital link between Service Advisors and Technicians, maintaining productivity, quality control, and a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate and dispatch repair orders to Technicians based on skills, priority, and timelines.
  • Monitor progress of repairs and ensure all work is completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain clear communication with Service Advisors regarding delays, additional work, and sales opportunities.
  • Conduct and record quality control inspections to ensure zero comebacks.
  • Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and technical resources.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and productive working environment in line with WHS requirements.
  • Uphold 5S principles and environmental standards within the workshop.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 4 years’ extensive experience in the automotive industry working on vehicles.
  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (essential).
  • Strong technical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support a team of Technicians.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • A valid NSW Drivers Licence
