We are currently seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role will focus on developing new business opportunities while managing and growing an existing portfolio across both Hire & Sales solutions.

This is a high-impact position suited to someone who thrives on relationship building, strategic growth, commercial negotiations, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

About the Role

Reporting into leadership, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of small, medium, and large customers across multiple market segments while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders across sales, operations, and tendering functions to ensure commercially viable outcomes while delivering outstanding service to clients.

This role combines strategic planning, relationship management, pipeline development, and hands-on business development activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers
  • Develop new business opportunities across Hire & Sales
  • Increase sales and hire revenue across the region
  • Build strong commercial relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Develop strategic growth plans and account plans
  • Maintain a strong understanding of company products and solutions
  • Support tender submissions and business proposals
  • Negotiate commercially sound outcomes with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing contracts
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and CRM records within Zoho
  • Work collaboratively with sales and operations teams to maximise opportunities
  • Provide reporting on growth, pipeline activity, and opportunities for improvement

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales and/or Business Development
  • Proven experience working towards and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of business
  • Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving capability
  • High level organisational and time management skills
  • Experience using CRM systems such as Zoho or similar
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred
