Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated subcontractor to work with 1300Hoarding installing Engineer Certified Temporary Hoarding Systems across the retail and fit-out sector in Melbourne.
This is a hands-on, physical role where you will be responsible for picking up and delivering stock, installing temporary hoardings on site, liaising with facilities and security teams, and reporting any equipment or site issues to the relevant site contact and 1300Hoarding’s project team.
The role is varied and fast-paced and suits someone who works well unsupervised, takes pride in quality workmanship and is looking for consistent long-term opportunities. Site-specific inductions and safety briefings will be provided as required by WHS obligations.
Subcontractors are free to offer their services to other businesses. This engagement does not require exclusivity, and work is offered on a job-by-job basis with no guarantee of minimum hours or ongoing engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install Engineer Certified Temporary Hoarding Systems on customer sites
- Pick up and drop off stock between the warehouse and sites across Melbourne and Geelong
- Read and interpret shop drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Liaise with facilities management, security and site personnel
- Availability for out-of-hours and overnight installations
- Report any damage, equipment faults or site issues to the relevant site contact and 1300Hoarding’s project team
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area on site and in vehicles
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will be reliable, punctual and hardworking, with the ability to work unsupervised and a strong eye for detail.
You will ideally have:
- A Pty Ltd company (or willingness to set one up)
- White Card (essential)
- Availability to work out of hours, as night works will be regular (essential)
- Forklift Licence (essential or willingness to obtain)
- EWP Licence (essential or willingness to obtain)
- Truck Licence — MR or higher (desirable)
- Basic carpentry or handyman skills (desirable)
- Your own tools, including cordless drills, saws and similar equipment
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
- Good verbal and written communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and develop
