IT Officer

At 1 Hotels, we’re redefining luxury with a focus on sustainability, thoughtful design, and exceptional guest experiences. We’re currently seeking a proactive and solutions-driven IT Officer to support our technology operations at 1 Hotel Melbourne.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can balance multiple priorities while delivering seamless IT support across the hotel.

About the Role

Reporting to the IT Director, the IT Officer will provide day-to-day technical support across the hotel, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and securely. You’ll be the go-to person for staff and guests alike, helping resolve issues quickly while contributing to ongoing improvements in our technology landscape.

Salary of $80,000 – $90,000 + Superannuation package under the HIGA award classification.

 

Key Responsibilities

·Provide daily operational support to the IT Director, including managing system requests, service tickets, and IT-related inquiries.

·Deliver technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.

·Monitor and respond to help desk tickets in line with 1 Hotels standards and service levels.

·Support hotel guests with technology-related inquiries and ensure a smooth digital experience.

·Maintain and support internal network infrastructure and systems across the property.

·Assess hardware and software requirements to meet evolving business needs.

·Installation, configuration, and maintenance of systems and applications.

·Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and performance checks.

·Ensure all company devices (laptops, servers, workstations, and mobile devices) are secure, updated, and compliant with endpoint security standards.

·Document system configurations, procedures, and updates as required.

·Support IT setup for hotel events, meetings, and presentations.

·Conduct quality audits of IT applications in collaboration with the IT Director.

·Ensure data security and compliance with SH Group / 1 Hotels IT policies and procedures.

·Collaborate with other departments to identify, recommend, and implement cost-effective technology solutions.

About You

·Strong multitasking abilities with a calm, solution-oriented approach.

·Quick thinker with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

·Excellent communication skills with a service-first mindset.

·Experience in IT support, ideally within hospitality or a customer-facing environment.

·Solid understanding of networking, hardware, software, and security practices.

·Ability to work collaboratively across departments and adapt to changing priorities.

·Minimum Bachelor of IT required

·Understands the role may require you to work outside of normal office hours
