Zonta House Refuge Association (Zonta House) is a specialist provider of family and domestic violence (FDV) services. Our purpose, values, and services have been informed through over 40 years of experience, the needs of Victim-Survivors of FDV in our community, and research in leading practice.
Zonta House provides holistic services to support individuals, children and families and facilitates education to contribute to social and systems change to prevent and stop FDV.
Victim-survivors of FDV are able to access responsive and person-centred support based on their needs to build a future free from abuse and thrive.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. This part-time position (22.5 hours per week) is offered on a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2027, with the possibility of extension. Located in Willetton, the role offers the chance to work closely with a dedicated team in a collaborative and community‑focused workplace.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accountant will support month‑end processes, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and grant reporting, contributing to accurate, compliant, and timely financial outcomes across the organisation.
We’re looking for a motivated and proactive team player who is passionate about our purpose and brings a high level of attention to detail. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively, taking initiative, and contributing to a positive, purpose‑driven team culture.
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated 5+ years’ experience in a financial or management accounting role, including responsibility for month‑end processes
- CA/CPA qualified, desirable
- Experience in preparing financial reports, including budget versus actual variance analysis
- Experience with journals, reconciliations, and statutory reporting (e.g. BAS/IAS)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information and provide meaningful insights
- Advanced Excel skills, and experience in Xero or equivalent accounting software
- Experience supporting budgets, forecasts, and audits
- High level of attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with initiative, take a proactive approach, manage competing priorities, follow tasks through to completion, and actively contribute to a collaborative and
positive team culture.
- Alignment with the organisation’s values and purpose, with an interest in contributing to positive community outcomes
The successful candidate will need to possess:
