A bit about the role
This Senior Youth Coach role will be a key partner in leading our exciting new program partnered with the Good Cycles team, this program is designed to support young people experiencing disadvantage to build confidence, develop practical skills and transition into meaningful employment.
Working closely with Good Cycles Melbourne, this role will lead a hands-on youth employment program that supports young people across their employment journey. This includes coordinating engagement and progression, providing direct support and creating pathways into employment across Good Cycles’ programs, including bicycle retail and servicing, deliveries and logistics, organic waste collection, facilities maintenance and horticulture. The role will also support Youth Projects pre-employment programs as a pathway into opportunities within this partnership.
This is a practical, active role that involves working directly alongside young people across Youth Projects and Good Cycles hubs throughout Inner West Melbourne. It will suit someone with experience in youth employment, training, case coordination or community programs who is passionate about supporting young people into sustainable work and enjoys being out in the field.
Please note: fixed term role until 30/06/2027
Key Requirements
- Certificate IV in Youth Work, Community Services, Career Development or similar desired
- Experience coordinating community, employment, training and/or youth sector programs
- Experience managing grants or funded initiatives, including compliance, budgets and stakeholder relationships
