About Us
Wunan Health is the only private GP Practice in the East Kimberley region. We provide a range of high-quality health care services to the residents of Kununurra, Wyndham, Halls Creek and extended communities. Our dedicated team comprises of General Practitioners/Registrars, Registered Nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners and our experienced Medical Administration team. Wunan Health is the lead agency of headspace Kununurra.
The Kununurra Withdrawal Intervention Centre is a low medical withdrawal management service providing 24/7 support to individuals undergoing withdrawal from alcohol and/or other drugs. Our model of care is Culturally safe, trauma-informed, person-centred, and grounded in harm reduction principles. We aim to provide a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment for people in the early stages of recovery.
About the Role
• Clinical Leadership: Providing clinical leadership and direction to the team, ensuring high-quality Drug and Alcohol services are delivered to our consumers.
• Staff Support and Supervision: Offering operational support, guidance, and supervision to staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training.
• Service Development: Contributing to the development of innovative, evidence-based and culturally safe services.
• Clinical Governance: Supporting the Multi-Disciplinary Team with implementing, monitoring, and reviewing clinical governance frameworks to maintain service quality and safety.
• Community Engagement: Collaborating with local communities and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and address community needs.
Job Requirements – Essential:
• Tertiary Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualification in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent.
• Registration: Full registration with AHPRA or relevant professional body.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in delivery of Drug and Alcohol interventions, group programs, counselling services and treatment planning.
• Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated experience in AOD service delivery, leadership, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. In addition, developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Communication: High-level written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and documentation.
