About this role:
As a Project Engineer at Wormall Civil, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality civil construction projects across WA. Reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with our site teams, you’ll provide technical guidance, coordinate subcontractors, manage project documentation, and support the financial and operational aspects of project delivery. This role offers a blend of on-site and office-based responsibilities and is ideal for someone looking to deepen their project management and leadership experience within a dynamic and supportive environment.
What your day will look like:
• Lead and champion our positive safety culture ensuring an engaged project team who are empowered to call out and resolve all safety concerns.
• Champion a learning culture in the project to drive our passion at Wormall Group for continual improvement
• Coordinate day-to-day site operations and ensure alignment with project schedules and specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and client requirements to guide onsite delivery.
• Support the Project Manager with planning, reporting, budgeting, and claims preparation.
• Oversee quality assurance, safety compliance, and environmental standards on-site.
• Liaise with subcontractors, internal departments, and clients to resolve technical issues and maintain progress.
• Review and maintain key project records including ITPs, SWMS, permits, and site documentation.
• Provide mentorship and support to Site Engineers and junior team members.
• Contribute to team briefings, contractor meetings, and client progress discussions.
About you:
• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (required); Project or Construction Management qualifications highly regarded.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies, particularly in land development, roads, and underground services.
• Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors, track costs, and manage documentation.
• Familiar with safety, quality, and environmental compliance systems and requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and construction/project management platforms.
• Strong communicator with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• WA Construction White Card and current C Class Driver’s Licence (required).
• First Aid Certificate and HSEQ awareness (preferred).
