Candidate:
We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our team at our Head Office here in Brendale. In this role, you will work collaboratively with internal teams and suppliers while supporting the operational needs of the business. You will be working alongside an experience Purchasing Officer and will report directly to the Factory Manager.
About the role:
In this vital role you will be supporting the operational needs of the business which may include:
- Receive, check, label and allocate incoming stock and project materials.
- Prepare materials, templates and project items for subcontractors.
- Assist with deliveries and coordinate freight and courier collections.
- Maintain warehouse organisation, storage areas and stock accuracy.
- Assist with stock takes and general purchasing operations.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement or warehouse operations.
- Construction experience and/ or background.
- Forklift Licence (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to negotiate.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines.
- Full drivers’ licence.
