West Daly Regional Council is seeking a dedicated Pool Duty Manager to oversee the daily operations of our swimming pool facility in Wadeye, Northern Territory. This role is vital in providing a safe, healthy, and clean environment for our residents and visitors to enjoy. About the Role

Reporting to the Aquatic Coordinator, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the swimming pool facility. You will ensure the highest standards of safety, maintenance, and customer service are met daily.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Operations: Oversee facility operations, including cleaning and maintenance as per daily checklists.
  • Safety Leadership: Act as Chief Warden during emergencies and maintain a working knowledge of the Emergency Action Plan.
  • First Aid: Provide First Aid and CPR as required and report all incidents or near misses.
  • Customer Excellence: Handle customer requests and complaints professionally to ensure a welcoming environment.
  • Compliance: Adhere to Council procedures for safety, training, and document control.
  • Collaboration: Support pool activities, events, and foster positive relationships across the community.

About You

You are a reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious individual who thrives in a team environment. You possess strong interpersonal skills and have a deep respect for Indigenous culture.

Essential

  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • National Criminal History Check and Working with Children (Ochre Card) clearances (or ability to obtain).
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position.
  • Basic computer literacy skills.
  • Strong understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable

  • A current Northern Territory Driver’s Licence.
  • Relevant qualifications in aquatic facility management or a willingness to undergo training.
