The Role
As a Youth Worker, you will provide high‑quality,person‑centred support to young people in residential settings. Your role will
include:
- Delivering respectful, trauma – informed, and person-centred care
- Implementing individualised care plans and therapuetic programs
- Supporting inclusion through community access, recreation, and everyday skill-building
- Modelling positive, courageous behaviours that promote safety and resilience
- Working collaboratively with families, caseworkers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with all legislative and orgainsationsal requirements
- Complying with child safety, NDID, and workplace health and safety requirements
Locations: Toowoomba, surrounds and Laidley
Roster: Varied roster including weekday shifts and sleepovers.
- Sleepover shifts are planned in advance and attract additional allowances
- Designed to support continuity of care and meaningful engagement with young people

About you
You are someone who is:
- Experienced in supporting young people with complex behaviours and trauma
- Empathetic, patient, and emotionally resilient
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
- A clear and respectful communicator who values transparency
- Passionate about positive outcomes and celebrating progress
- Adaptable, courageous, and able to thrive in dynamic environments
Essential Requirements
- Working towards or hold a Certificate IV or higher in Youth Work, Child & Family Intervention, Community Services, or similar
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current QLD Drivers Licence
- Comprehensive car insurance and vehicle registration
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
