About the Role
We are seeking reliable and professional Personal Care Workers (PCWs) to provide high-quality in-home aged care under the clinical supervision of a Registered Nurse.
This role involves delivering safe personal care, supporting daily living activities, observing changes in client condition, and contributing to meaningful engagement in each client’s day.
This is an accountable role within a structured, team-based, and clinically supported environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care in accordance with documented care plans
- Support clients with activities of daily living
- Observe and report changes in client wellbeing
- Work strictly within scope of practice
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Support client independence and participation in meaningful daily activities
- Follow escalation pathways and RN direction
- Maintain professional standards within clients’ homes
Service & Shift Requirements
WRHH operates as a 24-hour nursing-supported service.
Applicants must be available to work across a range of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and night shifts, as operationally required.
Shift allocation is based on service needs and cannot be guaranteed as fixed permanent time blocks.
Reliable and consistent availability is essential.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or Home & Community) or equivalent
- (Applicants currently enrolled and actively progressing toward completion may be considered.)
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- Legal entitlement to work in Australia
Skills & Attributes
- Ability to work independently within clients’ homes
- Strong communication and observational skills
- Emotional maturity and professional boundaries
- Commitment to working within clinical governance structures
- Confidence using digital systems for documentation
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development
Physical Requirements
- Capacity to safely assist with mobility and manual handling
- Ability to perform personal care tasks
- Physical stamina for standing, bending, and assisting clients
