Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Special Needs Teacher to join our team in Dural. In this role, you will provide tailored educational support to students with special needs, fostering an inclusive learning environment. Ideal candidates will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to enhancing the educational experience for all students.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Create a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Provide training and support to teaching assistants and other staff members.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, with a focus on Special Education.
  • Teaching qualification recognised in Australia.
  • Experience working with children with special needs in a primary education setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and best practices in special education.
