The Role
This is a rare chance to join a dynamic, hands-on business where your leadership will directly influence performance, people and growth. You will work closely with the leadership team to share the operational load across multiple sites, improve processes, uplift team capability and ensure a high-performing, safe and engaged culture.
What you’ll be doing
• Overseeing day-to-day operations across four Sydney sites (Seven Hills, Artarmon, Smithfield, Kemps Creek)
• Leading and mentoring site managers, supervisors and operational teams
• Driving productivity, operational consistency and continuous improvement
• Supporting business growth, major projects and change initiatives
• Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers
• Promoting a positive, accountable and safety-focused workplace culture
About You
Experience in recycling or waste is great but not essential—If you can lead, influence and get the best out of teams across multiple locations, we want to hear from you.
You’ll bring:
• Proven people leadership experience across multiple sites
• Proven operational management experience in scrap metal recycling/waste management industry
• A practical, solutions-focused leadership style with the ability to influence and engage teams
• Solid understanding of safe work practices and operational compliance
• A proactive mindset with the ability to prioritise, plan and deliver outcomes
• High resilience, adaptability and a desire to grow with a fast-moving business
• Have a drivers licence and reliable transport
• Able to pass a medical and regular random Drug & Alcohol testing
