An exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time Mortgage Broker to join the Smartmove team, based in-house at the Enlightened Financial Solutions office in Mackay.

We are expanding our presence in North Queensland and are seeking an experienced, full-time Mortgage Broker to join Smartmove, based in-house at the Enlightened Financial Solutions office in Mackay.

Enlightened Financial Solutions is a well-established financial advisory practice that has supported clients across the Mackay region for more than a decade, building strong long-term relationships with over 400 clients.

This is an exciting opportunity to help grow Smartmove’s Queensland presence while working alongside a highly respected and collaborative financial advice team.

The Role

As an experienced professional with a bank lending or mortgage broking background, you already know the fundamentals. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting client consultations to identify financial objectives.
  • Recommending suitable loan products and educating clients on their options.
  • Driving business growth by building and maintaining your pipeline, fostering relationships with Financial Advisors, and engaging with industry professionals.
  • Bringing energy and enthusiasm to your work while contributing to our growth journey.

You will have the support of our centralised operations team based in The Philippines and Nepal, so you won’t be bogged down in paperwork. With Financial Planners already in the office, you’ll benefit from lead-generation opportunities through networking events and established relationships with accountants and other industry partners. That said, success in this role still requires dedication to building and nurturing your own pipeline.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in a lending role either as a Mortgage Broker or Bank Lender.
  • Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking and Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management (or a willingness to obtain one before you start, we can support you)
