About the role
We are seeking an experienced and values‑driven Residential Team Coordinator to provide leadership within our Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) program. This role combines hands-on casework with team leadership, supporting young people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness to achieve safe, stable and sustainable housing outcomes
You will lead the Residential Youth Work team while working directly with young people in crisis accommodation, outreach and post‑crisis support, ensuring service delivery is trauma‑informed, strengths‑based and person‑centred.
Some of your core responsibilities will include;
- Coordinate day‑to‑day residential and crisis accommodation service delivery, ensuring continuity of care and quality outcomes.
- Provide supervision, coaching and practice guidance to the Residential Youth Work team
- Develop and manage staff rosters, planning for leave, relief cover and service continuity
- Hold a caseload including crisis accommodation, post‑crisis and outreach clients
- Apply trauma‑informed, strengths‑based and person‑centred practice
- Liaise with housing providers, real estates and support services to improve housing outcomes
- Participate in on‑call and operational escalation as required
- Ensure compliance with SHS requirements, child protection legislation and organisational policies

About you
You are an empathetic and capable leader with strong experience in youth homelessness or community services. You thrive in sometimes complex environments and can balance operational coordination, staff support, and direct client work.
As part of our selection criteria our ideal candidate will bring;
- A minimum Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work or similar
- Demonstrated experience in case management and working with young people experiencing homelessness and complex needs.
- Knowledge of trauma‑informed, strengths‑based and early‑intervention approaches
- Experience supervising, coaching or mentoring staff and supporting performance and development
- Sound understanding of child protection legislation and mandatory reporting obligations
- Strong communication, collaboration and advocacy skills
