Help shape the next stage of V-DAQ’s product journey.

V-DAQ is a growing Australian startup in the fleet management and telematics space. Product has been founder-led to date, and we are now looking for our first dedicated product hire to take increasing ownership of the product function as we continue to invest in and expand our product range.

This is not a narrowly defined PM role. It could suit an experienced Product Manager ready to step up, a Senior or Lead PM looking for broader ownership, or a more senior product leader who wants to be hands-on in a growing SaaS + hardware IoT business.

A few things about us

  • Australian-based software engineering, hardware/embedded engineering, and hardware manufacturing capabilities.
  • No PE/VC funding to date. Just paying customers, sustainable growth, and a whirlwind of product opportunity ahead.

You will work closely with the founders, customers, engineering, sales, account management, customer success, and operations to help define what we build, why we build it, and how we turn customer needs into valuable product outcomes.

The role will likely include

  • Owning and evolving the product roadmap across software, hardware, customer experience, and commercial opportunities.
  • Spending time with customers to understand problems, workflows, feedback, adoption gaps, and expansion opportunities.
  • Translating customer and business needs into clear product requirements and priorities.
  • Working closely with engineering to shape, scope, prioritise, and deliver new features.
  • Enabling sales, account management, and customer success through deep product and roadmap knowledge.
  • Creating a scalable structure for the product function that has been founder-led to date, without slowing down the pace.

What matters most for this role is product judgement, customer empathy, commercial thinking, strong communication, and the willingness to be hands-on in a growing business.
