Love the water and believe safety and great guest vibes go hand in hand? The Aquatics Coordinator plays a key role in delivering smooth, safe operations and memorable surf experiences at URBNSURF.

. Key Responsibilities

Operations & Coordination

  • Oversee daily aquatics operations to keep the park running smoothly and safely
  • Step into active positions to support crew coverage, breaks, and peak demand
  • Manage equipment, first aid supplies, and operational tools
  • Work Manager on Site (MOS) shifts as part of the operations team rotation

Crew Leadership & Capability

  • Support hiring, training, and supervision of Lifeguards and Surf Guides
  • Manage rosters and payroll to ensure coverage aligns with park needs and budgets
  • Monitor qualifications and ensure compliance across the aquatics team
  • Conduct performance audits and provide coaching and feedback

Safety & Guest Experience

  • Support safety compliance and operational standards across the park
  • Provide performance insights to improve safety and guest experience metrics
  • Help recognise and reward crew contributions and guest feedback outcomes
  • Partner with safety leadership to uphold and enhance safety protocols

Administration & Compliance

  • Assist with reporting, audits, and operational documentation\
  • Support budget tracking and efficient resource use
  • Monitor adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

Brand & Experience

  • Champion the brand and create a welcoming, inclusive environment
  • Build strong relationships with guests, crew, and stakeholders
  • Contribute to consistently high service delivery and guest satisfaction

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Current Pool Lifeguard certification
  • Current First Aid, CPR & Defibrillator accreditation
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in lifeguarding or aquatic operations
  • Experience in surf parks, aquatic centres, ocean environments, or similar high-risk settings
  • Strong understanding of lifeguard systems and aquatic safety
