Description

We’re seeking an experienced Aquatics Manager to lead our in-park aquatic team, champion safety, and create unforgettable surf experiences for every guest.

A Snapshot of the Role

  • Lead all aquatics operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and world-class surf experiences.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Lifeguards, Surf Guides, and Team Leaders.
  • Plan and oversee rosters, timesheets, payroll, qualifications, and compliance across the aquatics department.
  • Drive operational excellence through process improvements, reporting, and budget management.
  • Champion guest safety and service standards, partnering with the Group Safety Manager to enforce protocols.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and maintain regulatory compliance for all aquatic operations.
  • Represent URBNSURF, fostering a positive culture and delivering exceptional experiences for guests and crew.

The Aquatics Manager is responsible for leading all in-park aquatics operations. This role involves directing Aquatics Team Leaders, Lifeguards, and Surf Guides to ensure the highest standards of safety and guest service. The role plays a crucial part in driving operational safety, regulatory compliance, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Current Pool Lifeguard certification
  • Current First Aid, CPR & Defibrillator accreditation
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in lifeguarding or aquatic operations
  • Experience in surf parks, aquatic centres, ocean environments, or similar high-risk settings
  • Strong understanding of lifeguard systems and aquatic safety
