About the Role
This is a casual position, working up to 25 hours per week on a 24 hour / 7 day rotating roster. This role is based on-site at the front desk in one of our Urban Rest Hotels.
As our Host, you’ll be the welcoming face of Urban Rest in our Hotels. You’ll play a key role in delivering a seamless guest experience, from arrival through to departure, ensuring every interaction reflects our premium yet approachable service style.
You’ll manage guest enquiries in person, via phone and email, coordinate arrivals, and work closely with housekeeping and operations to ensure our spaces are ready to delight. Your ability to stay calm under pressure, think on your feet and communicate with clarity will be central to your success.
Responsibilities
Welcome guests on arrival and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes
Respond to guest enquiries in person, via phone and email in a timely and professional manner
Coordinate Meet & Greet arrivals where required
Liaise with Operations and Housekeeping teams to resolve in-stay requests or issues efficiently
Ensure the arrival experience area is always well-presented and guest-ready
Monitor guest feedback and assist in maintaining strong satisfaction and NPS results
Escalate issues where necessary and ensure clear communication with guests throughout

What We Look For
Previous experience in a front desk, reception or customer-facing hospitality role
Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable using hotel PMS/booking systems and digital platforms (Google Suite experience advantageous)
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Fluent English required (additional languages a bonus)
