Construction Manager – QBCC Licence Required
UBS is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead our domestic insurance projects in Brisbane. This role is ideal for a qualified trade professional who holds a QBCC Licence (essential), with a Builder’s Licence highly desirable. These qualifications are vital to ensure strong technical and practical construction expertise.

About the Role:
The Construction Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting and mentoring our Project Management team, providing specialist construction knowledge, resolving complex issues, and ensuring that all projects meet UBS’s quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Project Management team, promoting a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with WHS regulations, safety standards, and Australian Standards through regular site audits.
- Oversee and coordinate internal trade scheduling to optimise project delivery.
- Drive project outcomes, ensuring work meets quality standards, stays within budget, and is delivered on time.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complaints, providing effective resolutions and maintaining stakeholder satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, trades, and industry partners.
- Manage project budgets, variations, and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
About you:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in residential and/or insurance building.
- QBCC Licence (essential) and Builder’s Licence (desirable).
- Certificate IV in Building and Construction (minimum).
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and support Project Managers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Valid Driver Licence.
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Induction Card (Blue)
- Current Police Check.
