Sales Development Executive (Commercial)

Salary: £30,000 – £33,000

Location: Leeds with national travel

Main Purpose:

As a Sales Development Executive, you will take ownership of the full sales lifecycle, from generating and qualifying leads to closing new deals with commercial sports employers.

This role focuses exclusively on selling eLearning, workshops, and UK Coaching Club membership and insurance into the commercial market, including Leisure, Fitness and Sports Clubs, Sports Franchises, and other commercial organisations that employ sports coaches. You will work to agreed commercial targets.

You will build and maintain strong working relationships with commercial customers across the sport and physical activity sector, acting as a trusted point of contact with a clear understanding of their business needs.

By developing profitable commercial relationships, you will help generate income that is reinvested to support coaches nationwide and strengthen our mission to become the UK’s leading destination for learning and development, products, and services for sports and physical activity coaches.

Your responsibilities will include sourcing and qualifying new commercial opportunities, building and managing a sales pipeline, recommending appropriate solutions, delivering prospecting campaigns and product demonstrations, collaborating with internal teams, and converting leads into long-term commercial customers.

Key Tasks:

  • Develop a good understanding of UK Coaching Solutions, membership, insurance, eLearning and workshop products and services.
  • Develop new qualified sales opportunities for UK Coaching Solutions products and services.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Identify, qualify, and close the sales of products and services.
  • Demonstrate products in-person or online to expand the uptake of products and services..
  • Prepare proposals, close customer contracts, and generate new sales.
  • Maintain accurate records on the CRM.
  • Forecast sales and accurate manage a pipeline.
  • Support colleagues on initiatives such as agreed marketing campaigns and activities.
  • Communicate with customers to understand their needs and to gather product or service feedback.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and retention.

Measures of Success:

• High levels of customer satisfaction.

• Increase in the take-up of existing products and services among existing customer base.

• Generate new sales for UK Coaching Solutions.

• Deliver agreed commercial targets.

• Maintain up to date records via the Customer Relationship System (Forecasting, proposals, opportunities, and pipeline)

About You

Essential

  • Experience in a B2B sales role.
  • Results-orientated with a strong desire to meet and exceed targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and able to identify commercial opportunities.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline via customer relationship management (CRM) systems and reporting.
  • Capable of working independently and proactively.
  • Competent IT user, with established familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

Desirable

  • A desire to work within the field of physical activity and/or sports coaching
  • An interest in sports or fitness coaching
  • Willingness to work on occasional evenings and weekends, if required.
