Part time vacancies for Educators

At Sparkways, we value the Co-educator (Cert III minimum) and Diploma roles equally, and there is no differences in seniority. Unfortunately, due to funding, there is a small difference in the duties and hourly rate. The majority of our staff in Coeducator positions have Diploma or Degree level qualifications. Beveridge – Greater Beveridge Kindergarten

  • Wombat Group – Coeducator (Cert III minimum) – 17.5 hours per week, Roster – Tue & Thu – 8.15 am to 4.15 pm plus 2.5 hours planning on another day – up to $26.74 per hour
  • Dingo Group – Coeducator (Cert III minimum) – 15 hours per week, Roster – Tue 8.30 to 3.45 pm, Fri – 8.30 am to 4.30 pm – up to $26.74 per hour

Donnybrook – Murnong Kindergarten

  • Kuboroo Group – Coeducator (Cert III minimum) – 18.75 hours per week, Roster – Mon, Wed & Fri – 8.45 am to 3.00 pm – $26.74 per hour with paid time off over all term breaks
  • Murrup Group – Coeducator (Diploma minimum) – 17.5 hours per week, Roster – Tue & Fri – 8.15 am to 4.30 pm + 2 hrs planning on another day – $28.01 per hour with paid time off over all term breaks

Mernda Villages Kindergarten

  • Koala Group – Coeducator (Diploma minimum) – 9.5 hours per week, Roster – Tue & Thu – 12.00 pm to 4.30 pm – $28.01 per hour with paid time off over all term breaks

Break Covers

Diploma qualified Educators or Educators actively working towards Diploma

Salary rate $28.01 per hour with paid time off over all term breaks

  • Beveridge – Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri – 4 shifts x 3.25 hrs – 11.00 am to 2.15 pm
  • Beveridge – Wed, Thu, Fir – 3 shifts x 2 hrs – 12.00 pm to 2.00 pm
  • Donnybrook – Tue – 1 shift x 3.25 hrs – 11.00 am to 2.15 pm
  • Donnybrook – Thu & Fri – 2 shift x 2 hrs – 12.00 pm to 2.00 pm
  • Mill Park – Blossom Park K – Mon, Wed – 2 shift x 2 hrs – 12.00 pm to 2.00 pm
  • Mill Park – Mill Park K – Mon – 1 shift x 2 hrs – 12.00 pm to 2.00 pm
  • Thomastown – Tue, Wed, Thu – 3 shifts x 2 hrs – 12.00 to 2.00 pm

Cover breaks at 2 locations – 4-hour shifts

  • Thu & Fri: Combine Breaks at Beveridge and Donnybrook – 2 x 4 hr shifts 10:15 am to 2.15 pm includes 30 minute paid travel time between the Kindergartens
  • Mondays: Combine Breaks at Blossom Park & Mill Park kindergartens – 1 x 4 hr shift – 10.15 am to 2.15 pm includes 30 minute paid travel time between the Kindergartens
  • Wednesdays: Combine Breaks at Thomastown & Mill Park – 1 x 4 hr shift – 10.15 am to 2.15 pm includes 30 minute paid travel time between the Kindergartens

Increase your hours

  • You can ask about joining our relief team on your days off to increase your hours and pay
  • Apply for other part time positions as they become available

We want to meet you

  • Are you an experienced & qualified Educator
  • Have you had extensive & recent experience working with 3 and 4 year old children, including children with additional needs?
  • Do you have the skills to scaffold and document children’s learning in play based, child led pedagogy?
  • Are you experienced in writing observations and learning stories, and using StoryPark?
  • Can you contribute to a child-centred, friendly team
  • Do people describe you as positive and energetic?
  • Are you seeking part-time work with paid time off over the term breaks?
