About the role  

As Nurse Educator, you will design, develop, deliver and evaluate engaging education programs—both in-person and online—that build confidence, competence and best practice across the health workforce. Your work will directly support safe, evidence-based sexual and reproductive health care across Queensland and beyond. 

You will also maintain an active clinical role, working two days per week in our Windsor clinic, ensuring your education practice remains grounded in contemporary service delivery, client needs and real-world clinical experience. 

This influential role blends education leadership, advanced nursing practice and clinical governance to strengthen service quality, professional capability and organisational impact. You will also represent True in regional, state and national forums, contributing to partnerships, advocacy and sector leadership. Interstate travel will be required from time to time. 

What You’ll Bring 

We are looking for an accomplished and values-driven Registered Nurse and/or Midwife who is passionate about education, professional growth and improving health outcomes. 

You will bring: 

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)  
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications in nursing, education or a related field (or working toward)  
  • Demonstrated experience designing, delivering and evaluating education programs for adult learners  
  • Strong clinical experience in sexual and reproductive health, women’s health or a related specialty  
  • A genuine passion for teaching, mentoring and supporting practice change  
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship-building skills  
  • Confidence using digital learning platforms and education systems  
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders  
  • Willingness to travel interstate as required
