Summary:

The Global Category Manager – Electronics will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic sourcing and procurement of electronic components within our manufacturing and production operations. Based in Lebanon, Tennessee, this permanent full-time position is essential for optimizing our supply chain and ensuring the availability of high-quality materials to meet production demands. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing global category strategies that align supplier capabilities with Tritium’s operational, engineering, quality, and cost objectives. The ideal candidate brings deep experience sourcing electronics in a high growth manufacturing environment and can drive supplier performance, supply continuity, and cost optimization across a global supply base. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance supplier relationships and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our global operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute global category strategies for electronic components including PCBAs, cable assemblies, modules, and related technologies.
  • Develop and implement category strategies for electronic components to achieve cost savings and quality improvements.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the electronics sector.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to align procurement strategies with product development and manufacturing needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain quality and delivery standards.
  • Prepare and present reports on category performance, market trends, and supplier evaluations to senior management.
  • Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving procurement processes and reducing lead times.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or category management, within a global manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier management.
  • Proficient in data analysis and market research methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and procurement management tools.
  • Experience collaborating across global regions including Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Sourcing experience with electronic components and assemblies such as PCBAs, cable assemblies, power electronics, modules, or EMS suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Approximately 20% travel, including domestic and international supplier visits.
