Description

Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for assisting our Project Management team in coordinating projects, sales and material procurement. They will schedule, plan, forecast, and prepare project reports, along with performing engineering services in accordance with, but not limited to, Australian Standards and regulations. The Project Engineer will be exposed to a range of FRP/composite products, including Treadwell’s ACCESS SYSTEMS™, EnviroTREAD™, SecurEX™ and EcoEX™ ranges.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and oversee structural and water infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineers to deliver complex and customised projects on time.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery, including engineers, designers, contractors, and clients.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans outlining goals, tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress using internal systems (ERP, Power BI Reports, Gantt charts) to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Maintain clear communication channels among team members, stakeholders, and clients, providing regular updates.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout project execution.
  • Oversee procurement activities, vendor selection, and contract management.
  • Ensure Projects are managed in a timely managed within the timelines and in a cost-effective manner while keeping the overall Gross Profit (GP) and EBITDA as per the Treadwell standards.
  • Lead project meetings, workshops, and presentations to communicate project status and gather feedback.
  • Prepare accurate project documentation, including reports, budgets, and technical specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • A degree in Civil, Structural, Materials or Mechanical Engineering;
  • Proven experience of advising clients of a technical product;
  • Ide,ally have previous exposure to FRP and composite materials/products;
  • Knowledge and understanding of dealing with the management of infrastructure projects;
  • Have an understanding of what is required for managing structural projects.
  • Have an understanding of project management work, processes and responsibilities;
  • Hold a valid driver’s license;
  • Have a strong English proficiency to easily and clearly explain and communicate information with clients;
  • Open to learning and development opportunities with an ability to learn quickly;
  • Be proficient with AS standards: AS 1170, AS1428, AS2156 and AS1657;
  • Have close attention to detail and strong relationship building skills;
  • Able to present products, services and technical information in a professional, structured manner, face-to-face with clients;
  • Be confident with strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Able to read drawings and understand a technical product;
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel;
  • Ideally have experience with ERP systems;
  • Able to follow directions and work with limited supervision;
  • Be self-motivated and committed and able to meet all required deadlines;
  • Good teamworking skills.

  • Ensure that the corporate drawing standards are utilised as guidelines at all times;
  • Should display competency of handling basic/custom projects on their own after 2-4 months;
  • Should display competency of handling complex projects on their own after 4-6 months;

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of proven experience in successfully managing structural projects, including water infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency with AS standards: AS 1170, AS 1428, AS 2156, and AS 1657.
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
