About the Team

As part of the Finance and Corporate Services team, you’ll join a collaborative and high-performing group responsible for financial reporting, payroll, compliance, and cash flow management. The team partners closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure accuracy, transparency, and strong financial controls.

About the Role

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join us on a maximum-term contract and play a key role in payroll processing, financial reporting, and compliance activities.

You’ll contribute to month-end and year-end processes, manage cash flow oversight, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance financial systems and processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver end-to-end payroll processing, including reconciliations and query resolution.
  • Support month-end processes, including journals, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Assist with year-end activities and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax).
  • Manage asset accounting, including depreciation and write-offs.
  • Prepare financial insights and variance analysis for stakeholders.
  • Monitor cash flow and support forecasting activities.
  • Assist with accounts payable processes, including payment runs.
  • Maintain strong adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across finance processes and systems.

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or similar.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Progress toward CPA or CA (highly regarded).
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in payroll processing.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Excel proficiency.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
