TransitCare is a not for profit organisation that provides socially inclusive, safe and reliable transport and support services to assist socially isolated people and people with disabilities to live independently in their own homes and participate in their communities.
Main services provided are social and medical transport and activities for clients living in the Brisbane South, Logan and Redlands areas. TransitCare is proud of our recent completion of our Reflect Level RAP. We also manage the delivery of similar services in our Townsville, Cairns and Gold Coast branches. About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑focused Vehicle Detailer to join our supportive Fleet Team. This is a permanent full-time role commencing at 6:00am Monday to Friday, making it ideal for those who enjoy early starts and free afternoons. The successful applicant will be required to work between our Beenleigh and Parkinson sites each day.
This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys hands‑on tasks, and values maintaining high standards in a role that directly supports the community.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Washing fleet vehicles using TransitCare’s dedicated wash bay and equipment and external wash bays
- Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping vehicle interiors
- Dusting interior surfaces and thoroughly cleaning windows and mirrors (inside and out)
- Steam‑cleaning vehicle seats and carpets to treat heavier staining as required
- Completing deep‑clean and disinfection of vehicles following heavy soiling or COVID‑positive transport
- Assisting with the safe movement of vehicles, including parking, fueling and transport to repairers
- Supporting basic vehicle and equipment set‑up within fleet vehicles
- Completing basic administrative tasks, including record‑keeping and fleet system updates
- Providing day‑to‑day supervision and guidance to volunteers assisting with fleet and cleaning activities
- Communicating effectively with team members, supervisors and volunteers to ensure tasks are completed safely and to standard
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- A current unrestricted driver’s license (essential)
- Physical fitness to safely perform repetitive and manual cleaning tasks
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and support to volunteers
- Experience or confidence in supervising or coordinating volunteers or team members
- Basic computer and administrative skills for completing documentation and system entries
- A high level of attention to detail and genuine pride in maintaining clean, well‑presented vehicles
- The ability to obtain a Worker Screening Card, Blue Card and Police Check
Previous experience in vehicle cleaning or detailing is highly desirable. A positive attitude, reliability and leadership capability are equally important.
