Compliance Consultant
Melbourne CBD | $64,000 – $67,000 + benefits | Hybrid
Tradewind Australia is looking for a proactive and highly organised Compliance Consultant to join our Education team.
You will sit at the centre of a high-volume recruitment operation, ensuring candidates are compliant, cleared, and ready to work quickly so placements happen without delays.
The role
Owning the candidate compliance and activation process from initial application through to ready-to-work status.
Working closely with recruiters, candidates, and internal teams, ensuring compliance never slows down, while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and candidate experience.
This is a high-volume, phone-first environment where organisation, urgency and communication all matter.

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who enjoys pace, structure and accountability, bringing:
- Experience in compliance, onboarding, recruitment or high-volume administration
- Strong attention to detail without compromising speed
- Confidence communicating over the phone and driving processes forward
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive mindset with strong ownership and follow-through
- Resilience and adaptability when priorities shift
Bonus points for:
- Recruitment or agency exposure
- Experience working to KPIs or SLAs
- Familiarity with HR systems, compliance processes or CRM platforms
What You’ll Be Doing
Compliance & Candidate Activation
- Manage candidate compliance from application to activation
- Conduct compliance checks including WWCC, references and documentation
- Ensure all candidates meet regulatory and client requirements
- Work to daily targets, deadlines and SLAs
Candidate Management
- Keep candidates engaged and moving through the process quickly
- Handle objections, delays and follow-ups proactively
- Build strong relationships with candidates throughout onboarding
Systems & Risk Management
- Maintain accurate CRM records and compliance documentation
- Monitor expiry reports and proactively manage renewals
- Support audits and ensure regulatory standards are maintained
