Description

Fundraising Manager

Make a real difference. Help people. Be part of something bigger.

About the role

We’re looking for someone energetic, enthusiastic and people‑focused to join our team as a Fundraising Manager. This role exists to drive exceptional peer‑to‑peer fundraising outcomes across Tour de Cure events and initiatives by designing, delivering and continuously improving participant‑centred fundraising journeys.

At Tour de Cure, fundraising is about more than hitting targets — it’s about building confidence, creating meaningful experiences, and supporting a passionate community working towards a cure for cancer. In this role, you’ll enable strong individual and collective fundraising performance by equipping fundraisers with the tools, skills and support they need to achieve (and exceed) their goals.

You’ll guide and support participants every step of the way — from their first sign‑up through to celebrating their success — while helping Tour de Cure grow its community, DIY and event‑based fundraising. A key focus of the role is nurturing confidence, deepening connection to the cause, and empowering fundraisers, captains and champions to become passionate Tour de Cure ambassadors.

What you’ll be doing

Supporting fundraisers

  • Design and deliver engaging, participant‑centred fundraising journeys from sign‑up through to post‑event
  • Support and motivate fundraisers — particularly those new to peer‑to‑peer fundraising
  • Build trusted relationships and provide personalised advice, encouragement and ideas
  • Regularly check in with participants to keep them engaged, confident and on track

Building skills and confidence

  • Run fundraising workshops and information sessions (online and in person)
  • Train and support team captains and community champions to lead and inspire others
  • Equip participants to confidently run their own fundraising initiatives and events
  • Share practical tools, resources and tips that improve fundraising outcomes and experience
  • Empower fundraisers to develop long‑term advocacy and ambassador pathways with Tour de Cure

Improving performance

  • Track fundraising progress and identify opportunities to lift individual and collective performance
  • Provide clear, simple reporting and insights to support decision‑making
  • Continuously improve fundraising tools, resources and participant experiences
  • Collaborate across teams to strengthen capability, consistency and impact

·

What we’re looking for

  • Someone positive, proactive and full of energy
  • A natural communicator who enjoys talking to people
  • Experience in fundraising (peer-to-peer or campaigns preferred)
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence running workshops or presenting to groups
  • Ability to use data to track progress and guide decisions
  • Experience with CRMs and Fundraising platforms ideal, but not essential
  • A team player who loves helping others succeed

Our values (what we live by)

At Tour de Cure, how we work matters just as much as what we achieve. We live our CARING values every day:

  • Courageous – We take on challenges in the fight against cancer
  • Achieving – We’re driven to make a real impact
  • Respectful – We value and support each other
  • Inclusive – Everyone belongs here
  • Nurturing – We lift each other up
  • Growing – We’re always learning and improving

Working with us

  • Hybrid role – 3 days in the Eveleigh office (including Tuesday as a team day)
  • Occasional evening or weekend work during events
  • Opportunity to be part of Tour de Cure events and tours
  • Laptop provided

Why this role matters

You’ll help everyday people do extraordinary things — raising vital funds, pushing personal limits, and contributing to life‑changing cancer research. By enabling confidence, capability and connection, you’ll leave a lasting impact on our fundraisers, our community and the future of Tour de Cure.

If you’re someone who brings energy, cares about people, and wants to make a genuine impact, we’d love to hear from you.
