The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Operations Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality, reliable financial operations across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll coordination, cashflow forecasting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
This role suits someone who is structured, proactive, and comfortable leading change. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Brand, Supply Chain and P&C teams, while also leading and developing an offshore finance operations team to ensure scalable, efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead AP, AR, banking and payroll coordination processes across the business
• Oversee day-to-day transactional finance operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Manage weekly cashflow forecasting and cash reporting
• Support month-end close including reconciliations, journals, accruals and variance reviews
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Drive continuous process improvement across finance operations
• Identify and leverage opportunities to use automation and AI within finance processes
• Improve systems, workflows and financial processes to increase efficiency and scalability
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and P&C to support operational decision-making
• Oversee credit management and inventory costing support
• Lead, coach and develop the transactional finance team, including an offshore team
About You
• Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline
• CPA/CA qualified or working towards (preferred)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance operations or finance management
• Demonstrated experience leading AP/AR/payroll functions, including offshore teams
• Proven ability to build high-performing teams in offshore or shared-service environments
• Strong understanding of cashflow, reconciliations, controls and compliance
• Passionate about continuous improvement and optimising finance processes
• High level of interest in AI and its application within finance operations
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (advantageous)
• Systems-focused, with confidence working across ERP and automation tools
• A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and stakeholder management capability
