About Us
Tiimely is a platform technology company leading the future of financial assessment through predictive and explainable AI, and configurable, API-led solutions. Our proprietary technology automates financial assessment and credit decisioning, enabling faster, more accurate outcomes across a range of use cases, and is licensed by large banks, fintechs, ASX-listed brands and our own in-house retail business, Tiimely Home.
Headquartered in Adelaide with a national team of 120, we’re on a mission to transform how Australians access credit through cutting-edge technology and a human-first approach. As a certified B Corp, our values — Time to be Human, Time to Take Responsibility, Time to be Transparent, and Time to Build Good Bonds — shape how we build products and how we work together.
The Position
As a Credit Assessor at Tiimely, you get to work with the latest in digital application processes. You’ll be part of an organisation that’s ahead of the curve, using AI-driven proprietary technology to reimagine how home loans are assessed and approved.
At Tiimely, Credit Assessors work closely with other members of the Operations team including Home Loan Specialists, Fulfilment & Retention Officers and Process & Policy to deliver an exceptional customer experience and leverage the growth opportunities that collaboration and building good bonds creates.
This isn’t just number crunching. You’ll be involved in all facets of the operations team from assessing residential mortgage applications and assisting customers with product queries, through to testing the platform and contributing to policy development as part of a team that is continuously improving.
While the core of the role is making sound credit decisions in accordance with our policies and guidelines, this is done in a whole new way on a fully digital lending platform. With this comes the opportunity to help shape how the operations team functions both today and in the future.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Assessing residential mortgage applications and making sound credit decisions in accordance with Tiimely’s policies, guidelines, and delegated lending authority.
- Identifying and mitigating policy exceptions and referring to higher delegated lending authority where appropriate.
- Assisting customers with home loan product queries throughout the application and assessment process.
- Collaborating with wider Operations team to deliver a seamless end-to-end customer experience.
- Contributing to platform testing, process improvement, and policy development as part of a continuously improving operations team.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all relevant regulatory requirements, lending policies, and compliance obligations.
- Working within a digital-first environment, leveraging Tiimely’s proprietary technology to streamline assessment workflows.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- A Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (or willingness to obtain one).
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in residential mortgage lending and credit assessment.
- Demonstrated ability to mitigate policy exceptions and refer to higher delegated lending authority.
- Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and lending compliance obligations.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in credit decisioning.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A genuine passion for providing exceptional customer experiences.
Desirable:
- Experience in a multi-lender or platform-as-a-service environment.
- Familiarity with digital lending platforms and automated credit decisioning workflows.
- Experience contributing to process improvement or policy development within a lending operations team.
- Comfort with technology and a willingness to embrace new tools and ways of working.
What’s In It For You?
- Competitive remuneration package with employee share plans that reward individual and company success.
- Clear career pathways with defined levels, progression criteria, and development support.
- Flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
- Ongoing learning and development to support your professional growth.
- A modern office environment designed for a Fintech.
- A supportive and inclusive team culture backed by our B Corp certification and values-driven approach.
