About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic Law Student to join our Professional Indemnity team as a Law Clerk.
Working closely with experienced Professional Indemnity lawyers, you will be immersed in a dynamic blend of insurance litigation matters.
Key Tasks
Under the guidance of senior lawyers, you will
- Assist with the administration of litigation and file management in a proactive manner.
- Open and close files.
- Develop strategic negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
- Interact with clients, building relationships and gaining a sound understanding of their needs.
- Assist with preparation of internal CPD seminars and accompanying papers.
- Assist with the preparation of tenders to clients.
- Conduct research on matters and applicable precedents.
Any other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, you will
- be commencing your final year of Legal studies with the expectation of graduating University in November 2026 or June 2027, and available at least 3-5 days per week
- have strong research and analytical skills, for comprehensive analysis and research.
- have the ability to apply critical thinking.
- possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive working and client relationships at all levels.
- have exceptional organisational skills with the ability to administer several tasks concurrently with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- be self-motivated and have the capability to work independently.
- be dedicated to maintaining confidentiality and providing excellence in client service.
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
