Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Service Technician, you’ll:• Provide hands-on, 24/7 service for clients, performing testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on Plate Heat Exchangers and associated equipment.• Conduct preventative maintenance and respond quickly to breakdowns, helping a variety of industries stay efficient and operational.• Work closely with a skilled and supportive team while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a sharp attention to detail. What We’re Looking For• You will have a proven site service background, first and foremost.• Experience with Plate Heat Exchangers is ideal OR a Trade Certification OR good experience in maintaining equipment like a plate heat exchanger.• A current driver’s license and basic computer skills are essential.• A self-starter who can manage time and travel independently.• Familiarity with OH&S, JSA, and Hygiene standards.• Experience in the Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Mining and/or Food & Beverage industry is a plus but not required.• Comfortable with extended travel and overnight stays due to client locations and on site job requirements.• Understanding of what it means to be a part of a “Service Team”, including some weekend works and generous overtime opportunities.• Hourly rate negotiable on experience. Your Initial Role• Assist the senior site service technician and workshop supervisor with daily tasks, ensuring smooth operations and quality control.• Perform in house hands-on tasks like pressure washing, crack testing, and re-gasketing of heat exchange plates in a workshop environment.• Learn the thermal characteristics of a plate heat exchanger, how it works, and how to build, strip and repair back to OEM conditions. What You Bring• A valid QLD Driver’s License (essential) and a Forklift License (a bonus).• Great communication skills and a collaborative attitude.• Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. Heat exchangers are a critical part of any large production facility. AI will not take this job away at any point in the foreseeable future because it is so hands-on.• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team.
