About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and values driven Team Leader to lead and grow our statewide training initiatives, with a strong focus on transgender, gender diverse and non-binary (TGD&NB) affirmative practice.

This role leads the delivery of the TGD in Community Health Consortium (TGDiCH) training program, supporting health services across Victoria to build culturally safe, inclusive and affirming practice. The role works closely with TGD&NB community members, health professionals, and consortium partners to co-design and co-deliver evidence-based training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of LGBTIQ+ and TGD&NB training programs
  • Deliver training that supports culturally safe and affirming health care
  • Facilitate community-led co-design and co-delivery of training content
  • Provide leadership, supervision and support to staff
  • Ensure accurate reporting, evaluation and funding compliance
  • Contribute to grant and tender writing and emerging funding opportunities
  • Oversee training promotion, pricing, invoicing and financial approvals

About You

You will have a relevant tertiary qualification in health, community services, adult education or a related field. In addition, you will also have:

  • Lived experience as a transgender, gender diverse and/or non-binary person
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training programs
  • Strong leadership, project management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Advanced understanding of LGBTIQ+ communities and people living with HIV
  • Excellent communication, organisational and reporting skills
  • Experience working in LGBTIQ+ communities and/or with people living with HIV is highly regarded.
