We are seeking an experienced Senior AOD Care & Recovery Coordinator to provide coordinated, recovery-oriented alcohol and other drug (AOD) support to clients with complex needs, within a harm reduction framework.
About the Role
In this part-time position, you will:
- Lead care coordination for clients experiencing significant substance use impacts
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop collaborative, client-centred care plans
- Provide advocacy, referrals, and maintain strong interagency collaboration
- Deliver brief interventions, relapse prevention strategies, and group work as appropriate
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure continuity of care
- Contribute to a supportive, learning-focused team culture within Therapeutic Services
- Mentor and provide guidance to colleagues, students, and volunteers where required
About You
You will have a relevant health and/or welfare tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences and/or a Certificate IV in AOD (or completion of AOD core competencies, or willingness to complete within the first 24 months of employment). In addition, you will also have:
- Demonstrated experience in AOD case management, care coordination, assessment, and treatment planning
- Strong commitment to recovery-oriented, harm minimisation approaches
- Ability to work respectfully and non-judgementally with LGBTIQ+ communities and people living with HIV
- Experience providing guidance or mentorship in a clinical or professional setting
