We are currently seeking dedicated Support Workers with specific experience in Complex Behaviors or High-Intensity Clinical Complex Care to join our growing team in Western Sydney.

The Role
In line with The NDIS Choice and Control, our participants look for consistency and relationships, so building rapport is essential to the role.

Shift Structure: Initial shifts typically 2–4 hours. This allows you to build a genuine relationship and reputation with participants.

Multiple participants in the area that would benefit from your support.

Growth: As you establish trust, there is significant opportunity to fill your schedule with multiple shifts throughout the day with shifts varying in times between 6am to 10pm.

Environment: Support ranges from 2:1 behavioral shift to 1:1 personal care in private homes, community access, day programs, transport services, or SIL environments.
Requirements & Experience includes but is not limited to:
- Experience implementing Behavior Support Plans (BSP).
- Expertise working with participants with extreme behaviors like schizophrenia.
- Experience with Daily Personal Care and Daily Living Support Activities.
- Proficiency in PEG feeding, Diabetes management, Catheter care, Seizure management etc.
- Meal preparation that aligns with special dietary needs (diabetic, low sodium, high protein, sauce based).
- Competency in manual handling, including the use of slings and hoists.
- Experience administering medication using a plan, webster pack, crushing etc.
- Experience using slip sheets, hoists, slings, wheelchairs, etc. for transfers of participants with extreme impairments.
- Strong emotional resilience and de-escalation skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation, risk assessments, and reporting.
- Ability to communicate with participants where they may be limited in ability.
- Time Management & Organization.
- Working Independently, Under Pressure and strong understanding of reporting guidelines.
- Engaged clients in physical and cognitive activities to promote wellbeing.
Mandatory Criteria
- Minimum Cert III in Individual Support or Disability.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check & 4 x NDIS Orientation Modules.
- WWC – Paid employee check.
- Safety: Current First Aid & CPR certificates.
- Other inductions and training as required.
- Valid Driver’s License and an insured vehicle to assist participants with community access or to reach appointments is essential
- Full comprehensive car insurance.
Pay & Benefits
- Competitive Rates: $43.23 – $44.59 per hour (based on experience/quals).
- Allowances: Fuel or broken shift, overtime rates.
