Description

Support/Float Educators (Infants, Toddlers & Pre-Kindy) – Toowong We’re growing — and adding new roles to our centre

Join a Reggio-Inspired Centre with a Heart for Slow Pedagogy

Are you a nurturing, thoughtful educator who believes in deep relationships, curiosity-driven learning, and respectful care?

As our community continues to grow, we’re expanding our team and creating three new Support/Float positions across our early years learning environments. If you’re looking for variety, strong team connection, and the chance to make a steady impact across multiple rooms, we’d love to meet you.

About Us

Our centre is proudly inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, embracing an inquiry-based curriculum and the principles of slow pedagogy. We value calm, time-rich environments where children’s learning journeys unfold with intention and care.

In our small team, every educator is known, valued, and supported. We believe meaningful education begins with relationships — between children, families, educators, and the world around us.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for three Support/Float Educator roles (part-time and full-time opportunities) to strengthen our team across:

  • Infants Support/Float (0–2 years)
  • Toddlers Support/Float (18 months – 3 years)
  • Pre-Kindy Support/Float (3–4 years)

This is not your typical role. As a Support/Float Educator, you’ll bring continuity and calm across the day—covering non-contact time, supporting routines and transitions, strengthening engagement in learning, and stepping in where needed while keeping relationships at the centre.

You’ll build genuine relationships with children, families, and educators while helping co-create a meaningful and responsive learning environment across Infants, Toddlers, and Pre-Kindy.

Top 3 Reasons Great Educators Choose Us

  • Belonging & being valued: a small, connected team where your voice matters, your strengths are noticed, and you’re supported to do your best work.
  • Growth & mastery: clear coaching, reflective practice, and regular workshops so you build confidence—especially in guidance, inclusion, and social/emotional learning.
  • Stability & meaningful benefits: a steady centre that invests in people, with practical perks (including childcare discounts) and wellbeing initiatives that make work sustainable.

  • A team culture that nurtures intentional practice, reflective dialogue, and collaboration
  • Wellbeing lunches and small touches that remind you: you matter too

  • Opportunities to contribute to inquiry projects, documentation, and peer reflection
  • A central Toowong location, easily accessible by public transport
  • Small, supportive teams where your presence and input are valued
  • Ongoing professional development in pedagogy, theory, and reflective practice
